Congratulations to Carol Owens who received a Life Membership at the 140th AGM. Carol has been a valued member at Eden Epsom since 1999 and has made an exceptional and sustained contribution to both the club and squash in New Zealand. A former World No. 1 and distinguished New Zealand representative, Carol has contributed far beyond her playing
achievements. She has coached hundreds of players, from beginners and social players through to regional and national representatives. Her technical expertise, coaching and mentoring are highly respected by players, parents and fellow coaches. Carol has also helped create an inclusive and welcoming club environment, particularly for newcomers, strengthening the sense
of community at Eden Epsom. Her involvement in holiday programmes, schools, representative teams and elite competitions has supported players at every level. Her longevity, consistency, generosity and commitment have helped sustain and grow squash participation at Eden Epsom and beyond. Her directness, honesty, wit and strong personality are also valued parts of her character. Carol’s contribution combines sporting excellence with exceptional service over more than 25 years, making her highly
deserving of a Lifetime Membership.
